A New Definition of Road Tire

Designing, developing, and manufacturing bicycle tires is a precise science. High performance bicycle tires must meet a specific criteria of performance, adhesion, rolling resistance and durability to deliver optimum performance advantage to all cyclists.

We’ve replaced our 12 year old “RACE” series with a completely redesigned range of road clincher and TLR tires that we’re calling “AGILEST,” a name derived from the word “agile” representing a tire that is fast, supple and has low rolling resistance.

Three Years of Research

It took three years to arrive at a new compound and puncture protection belt that surpasses what we used in our RACE
EVO4 series tires. The new compound is called ZSG Agile Compound, and the protection belt is called TOUGH&FLEX SUPER BELT.

The Tech

ZSG stands for “Zero Slip Grip.” The ZSG Agile Compound maintains the same adhesion as previous compounds while reducing rolling resistance by a further 12% over its predecessor, the ZSG Advanced Compound. The TOUGH & FLEX SUPER BELT was developed to provide better puncture resistance while providing a supple ride and low rolling resistance performance. The result of all of our research and development is a range of tires that checks all the boxes required for optimum cycling performance.

All tire models have been developed to strict new ETRTO standards to make sizing and mounting compatible with a broad range of rims and wheels. The series will be available in 23C, 25, 28C, 30C in a new round profile to accommodate the diverse needs of our customers.

A New Apex

The Panaracer Ratio

The “Panaracer Ratio” is all about creating a new Apex for road tires. Creating a tire that performs to the requirements of a diverse group of cyclists needs to deliver performance across three metrics; fast rolling, durable, and grip. Tweaking any one of these characteristics too much can adversely affect another characteristic. We call the “sweet spot” in tire development the “Panaracer Ratio.” We've spent considerable time on research and development to build on previous knowhow to bring these fantastic new tires to market.

AGILEST Standard

This tire perfectly demonstrates the
“Panaracer Ratio” with its balance of performance, puncture resistance, and
grip while excelling at low rolling resistance. This model incorporates the newly developed "ZSG AGILE COMPOUND" and "TOUGH & FLEX SUPER BELT" which reduces rolling resistance by 12% and weight by 40g compared to the previous model (700×25C).

TLR & Clincher

AGILEST Duro

The AGILEST Duro tire brings increased puncture resistance to the mix by incorporating the newly developed TOUGH &
FLEX SUPER OUTER SHIELD" and “PROTITE BELT” into this reliable performance tire. The "ZSG AGILE COMPOUND'' reduces rolling resistance by 12% and weight by 20g compared to the previous model (700×25C).

Clincher

AGILEST Light

The AGILEST Light has been thoughtfully designed from the bead to the tread with special consideration from the tread pattern to raw materials.  The LIGHT incorporates the newly developed “ZSG AGILE COMPOUND '' and TOUGH & FLEX SUPER BELT '' to create an ultra-light racing tire reduction rolling resistance.
